    Omega Pacific issues Recall Notice on G-FIRST series carabiners.

    Owners of Omega Pacific G-FIRST carabiners should immediately inspect their inventory as prescribed in their recall notice.

    Per Omega Pacific:

    Omega Pacific has discovered a defect in a limited number of the G-FIRST series carabiners and is announcing a voluntary recall for replacement. The defect was discovered during an internal quality assurance procedure and was determined to affect a single lot. We will replace each returned unit with a new product.

    PRODUCT SAFETY NOTICE  on the CMC Rescue MPD™ 13 MM Model (Red), Part Number 333000 dated October 11, 2017

    CMC Rescue has received a report of a single MPD™ (13 MM model) that was assembled with an 11 MM model front plate (see photo below). This would provide additional travel of the internal moving brake, potentially allowing greater gripping force on the rope than would be optimal in some applications.

    This safety recall is for Enforcers with serial numbers showing a manufacture date before 16246XXXXX. The cause for this recall is because there is a possibility the swivel eye on some Enforcers may not be secure and in some conditions might remove itselft by unscrewing.
