This is the Swiftwater Rescue Technican Unit 1 and Swiftwater Rescue Technician Advanced courses taught back to back. This Swiftwater Rescue Technician Unit 1 & Advanced Class are National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) compliant. These are two of the three classes for personnel to meet the requirements for the Technician level NFPA 1670 Standard on Operations and Training for Technical Rescue Incidents and the NFPA 1006 Standard for Rescue Technician Professional Qualifications in the area of water. The Swift water Rescue Technician curriculum is specifically designed for fire fighters, rescue teams and professional rescuers who need the best swiftwater training available! The swift water rescue course is very active in the water and is suitable for rescuers with no water rescue experience. This water rescue course also offers experienced rescuers the opportunity to develop their skills and push their personal limits on and off the water with realistic rescue scenarios, self-rescue challenges, and lots of hands-on interactive rescues and experiences. The Swiftwater Rescue Technician Advanced portion further concentrates on rescue in hard to get to areas and more difficult swiftwater situations. This is done by integrating the SRT-1 techniques into more difficult technical swiftwater rescue situations. It is an intense 6-day training that will challenge students to push their boundaries and learn lots. To register, visit
