The HAZMAT Recovery Strap Harness is designed to be worn by each member of the Entry and Backup Teams. It is donned over the HAZMAT suit while wearing an SCBA bottle and before entering a hazardous environment.
The harness secures multiple handholds for team members to maneuver a downed technician out of a compromised environment or assist them onto a SKED or litter basket. The HAZMAT Recovery Strap Harness will assist in the maneuvering of the downed technician through a decontamination corridor and will enhance their timely evacuation when wearing a HAZMAT suit.
